Hi there planning trip to disney in november next year and just wondering which dining plan would suit a familiy of 4 we have two children age 7 and 5 that are constantly eating lol bit confused with the whole dining plans

    Lisa,

So the plans are really tailored around how much you eat. Let's keep it simple. There are three dining plans. All of you have to be on the same plan. What do you get (per person) for each plan, per day?

    • Quick Service Plan: You get two meals at quick service restaurants. So think of the fast food joints back home (though many here are better!). You also get a snack.
    • Standard Plan: You get a quick service meal, and a table service meal. So that is a sit-down meal, with a server taking your order and bringing you your meal. Or a buffet restaurant. You also get a snack.
    • Deluxe Plan: You get three table service meals per day. You also get two snacks.
With all the plans you get a refillable mug, FYI.

My recommendations to friends with kids in that age range (mine will be a month shy of 5 and 7 on our trip in October) is that there won't eat enough food at three table service meals per day. Maybe yours can, but even so you have to remember that there is a lot of snacking along the way, and table service meals take time. Time away from attractions.

The Quick service, on the other side if the equation, might not be enough food for you. So I would say, since you indicate they are good eaters, is to go with the Standard plan.

Write me back if you would like to chat more about the plans, have further questions, or would like some dining recommendations! Let me know what you like and I am glad to help! (Dining recommendation questions are the most fun kind of question!)

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
