Hi there! We are planning on a trip to Disney next year. Wondering a few things. There's not much we can afford. Wondering when the cheapest time of year is and when is the least busy. How far in advance do we book?

Hi Janice! I can appreciate you wanting to travel at the least crowded time to Walt Disney World. And because it appears you can travel anytime it will likely also be the least expensive time as well.

The value seasons are scattered throughout the year but I will share some of my favorite times for a visit to the parks. If you are not craving the hot and humid weather then I suggest you book something right after Martin Luther King weekend in late January until the Presidents weekend in February. It is generally cool and dry at this time of year making it a great date for the parks. My second choice is coming early November. Again the weather is turning less humid and the daily rains have just about finished. It is also at the end of hurricane season although one can never predict what Mother Nature will bring.

My third and fourth choices are early September and early October. The weather is hot and humid and rainy in September so if you don't care about that then it's a great time with fewer crowds and often some very good deals. Kids are back in school. Early October is a bit better usually with the weather but some crowds are drawn in by the Epcot Food and Wine Festival which runs from late September to early November.

Check out all the different choices you have for Disney Resorts. You can book a room only reservation 499 days in advance and a package reservation 365 days. Rates are subject to change of course but pick a date and get something reserved. If I can help you with that choice just let me know.
