I am planning a trip to Disney next year December. Are there any special events or happenings happening at that time? I don't know if it is worth coming as I'm stopping over at Tokyo DisneySea before coming to LA.

Hi, Chan, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

First off, congratulations on your upcoming trip to Tokyo DisneySea – how exciting!

Since you’re continuing your journey to Los Angeles, California, after visiting Tokyo DisneySea, I would highly recommend a visit to the Disneyland Resort as well, especially during the month of December.

The Disneyland Resort, located in Anaheim, California, is less than an hour drive from Los Angeles. The Resort is made up of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. You can easily walk from Park to Park in just minutes, no transportation required. Disneyland is home to classic attractions such as Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean (both of which can’t be found at Tokyo DisneySea). Disney California Adventure Park has recently undergone some exciting enhancements, including a re-imagined Pixar Pier, where Pixar stories and characters come to life.

Spending the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort is simply magical. From the exquisite holiday décor, to the delicious treats, to the merry entertainment, the Disneyland Resort knows how to throw a holiday celebration! Some of my holiday favorites include A Christmas Fantasy Parade, “it’s a small world” Holiday, and Disney Festival of Holidays.

Plus, the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be open by your December trip!

    See ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
