We are planning a trip to Disney next February with our kids and grandkids so 14 of us in total . Where is the most economical place for us to stay for a week.

    Hi Kelly,

It sounds like you have an amazing gathering to look forward to next year! The great news is that you are planning enough in advance to enable you to book Advanced Dining Reservations at 180-days out. With proper planning, you'll be able to dine with characters at highly sought out locations.

First things first, let's narrow down your options of which Disney Resort you should stay in. Without knowing the individual family make-up and how you need to split people into rooms, it's a little difficult to make specific recommendations. With 14 guests, you can always rent four rooms at a Value Resort which is the most economical option. The double-bed rooms each sleep four guests.

If your list of family members includes any babies or toddlers under the age of 3 your so, there are several Moderate Resorts which have some rooms that can accommodate 5 + an infant (under the age of 3). In this case, you could rent three rooms at a resort such as Port Orleans Riverside. This resort is beautiful, the pool has a slide, and it would be one of my top, more affordable options for your family.

One last suggestion, depending on how you can split the family between rooms (and if there are at least two babies under the age of three) would be two Family Suites at the Art of Animation Resort or two Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. These both sleep up to 6 adults. You could also do two suites plus a regular room at a Value Resort.

If you'd like to send a follow-up question with specific breakdown, I'd be happy to assist further.

    Wishing you magical memories,

    Kaylene
