Planning a trip to Disney for the first time in May. My daughter will be celebrating her 5th birthday at that time. I have no idea where to begin. Any ideas?

    Hi Liz,

Five is the perfect age to enjoy Walt Disney World for the first time!  That's how old my son was when he first explored the most magical place on earth.  I have such wonderful memories from that trip.

The first thing you need to do after you determine your budget and exact dates of travel is to book a Disney vacation package.  Pick your hotel based on your budget.  I encourage you to purchase your theme park tickets at the same time you book your room so that your family will be eligible to include a Disney Dining Plan with your vacation package.  My family has saved incredible sums of money over the years by including the Disney Dining Plan in our vacation budget.

If you'd like help deciding between Disney's more than twenty hotels, let us know if you prefer a value, moderate, or deluxe resort.  Give us an idea what you most highly anticipate about your upcoming trip and we'll be happy to provide further guidance.

Be sure to enjoy every step of the planning of your upcoming Disney adventure and remember that the Moms Panel is here to help every step of the way!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
