We are planning a trip to Disney in December 2012 with 10 people (8 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 13). We are considering the Aligator Bayou in POR, and wondered if we could all fit reasonably in 2 rooms with the Murphy beds. Any thoughts?

    Hi Christopher,

If your tween/early teenage children are on the taller side, you will probably not be especially comfortable in the rooms found at Alligator Bayou.  My sister stayed there with her family of five a few years ago and they felt a bit cramped.  The trundle beds are not intended children over 9.

There are plenty of other housing options for large groups at Walt Disney World.  Have you considered the family suites at Disney's brand new Art of Animation Resort?  These rooms accommodate 6 guests each. Two of these might be a nice match for your travel party.

Let us know if you need any additional suggestions.  We'd be happy to help.

    Best wishes,
