Planning a trip from Dec 30 thru Jan 6, 2013 with disney meal plan.I called to check rates. I'd like to stay @ a value resort thru Jan 1 then a villa after. CM said I could not get the meal plan without paying extra because of 2 reservations. Is this true?

    Hi Kathy!

Unfortunately, this is basically true because Disney sees this as two separate reservations.  A good compromise is to get a longer stay park ticket for your first stay and to just get a room only reservation for your stay in a Disney Deluxe Villa.

So, for example, you could spend 3 nights at Pop Century and get the Disney Dining Plan plus a 6 day Magic Your Way ticket.  Your meal credits would expire at midnight on the day you check-out of Pop Century.  Then you could go to a Disney Deluxe Villa for 3 nights and not get park tickets or the Dining Plan.  Your park tickets from your first stay would still be valid for the second stay and you would simply have to pay for meals during your second stay out of pocket.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
