Planning our 1st trip! We have a 9yo dd, 7yo ds and 3yo dd. What are the most important things to do when planning? and what are the most important things to make sure we do(such as fastpass, how to plan character dinner etc.) Thank you! I am so lost!

    Hi Heather,

Congrats on planning your first trip! There are definitely lots of things you can and should do in advance - and you have come to the right place!

Before you leave, you'll want to book your FastPass+ reservations and your dining. First, I'd suggest doing some research so you know what your "must-dos" are. Given the ages of your two oldest children, definitely involve them in the decision making.

You will be able to book your dining reservations 180 days in advance. To get your choice of locations and times, I definitely recommend booking as soon as you can.

FastPass+ reservations can be made 60 days in advance (if you are staying on property), and 30 days in advance (if you are staying off property). Again, I'd recommend making them as early as you can.

Most importantly, have fun with planning! My family always enjoys the anticipation of our vacation almost as much as the vacation itself.
