Hi, we are planning a trip for christmas this year and we have multiple little kids - (4) three year olds, (2) five year olds, (2) 6 year olds and a 7 and 10 year old - the kids outnumber the adults. Can you give me your thoughts on monorail vs bus travel

    Hi Rachel!

Disney's Transportation system around Walt Disney World is fantastic. You'll find many options available to transport your larger family with ease!

The Walt Disney World monorails operate on two separate lines. Both depart from the Transportation and Ticket Center, located nearest to the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom monorail has 2 tracks and 2 monorails. One operates 'express' from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom, only making those two stops. The other Resort Monorail makes all stops around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Upon leaving the Transportation and Ticket Center it first stops at the Polynesian, then the Grand Floridian, then Magic Kingdom and then the Contemporary before returning again to the Transportation and Ticket Center.

The other monorail operates from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Epcot and back again.

Bus service operates from all Walt Disney World resorts to the Parks, Water Parks and Downtown Disney.
Boat transportation is also available from select Walt Disney World deluxe resorts to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Monorail is certainly the most fun and exciting form of travel at Walt Disney World and something you definitely want to make a point of experiencing at some point during your stay!

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your Walt Disney World holiday Rachel!
I hope you'll visit me again with more great questions so that I can help you make the most of your trip.
