we are planning a trip with children ages 2,5,7,14 any suggestions to keep them all happy

    Hi Deborah!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

First of all, Walt Disney World was designed with the whole family in mind and it is possible to keep everybody together all day long.  That said, you might not want to in order to make everybody a little bit happier. With such a large age differences in the children, I really recommend that you consider splitting up.  The two year old and five year old will enjoy similar attractions; the 5 year old and the 7 year old will also enjoy similar attractions; the 7 year old and the 14 year old should also jointly enjoy some attractions.  The issue is the 14 year old and the 2 and 5 year old may not want to spend the whole day together.

I suggest starting off the day together and planning on being together at all meals.  In the middle of the morning and right after lunch, however, you may want to split up.  If you do, I suggest having some way of communicating with each group; that's something that is easy to do these days with cell phones.  Table Service restaurants might provide a more relaxed atmosphere during lunch and dinner.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
