I am planning a trip to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation. I am not sure if my son (20) will be able to come with us. Should I go ahead & include him in the reservation or wait & add him once I know he can come for sure? Add/Can

    Hi Keli,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. What fun to take your daughter to Walt Disney World for her graduation, and to possibly include your son in the trip as well!

I think that you will probably be okay either way on adding your son to your reservation - either if you include him initially and then have to remove him, or if you add him at a later date. I have absolutely added guests to my Disney resort reservations after I have initially made them with no problem. Removing someone should also not be a problem. I would suggest that you call your travel agent or Disney at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) and communicate your question to them in regard to your specific situation and the type of vacation that you are booking to be sure that there are not other restrictions due to your specific situation.

A couple of words of caution. I am not sure what resort and accommodation size you are considering; however, be sure that it can accommodate your entire party size. While there are configurations of rooms that can sleep many guests, there are some, especially at the value resorts, that can only sleep up to four adults. If your son would be the fifth adult, you would not be able to add him to the room. Also, I suggest that as soon as you know if he is coming, you be sure that he is on the reservation. As you will be able to start making your dining reservations at 180 days ahead of your vacation, and your FastPass+ reservations at 60 days before your vacation, it will be easier if you know if he is coming or not when you make these. You can always modify them; however, this can be tricky and you might not be able to get exactly what you want if you are making a modification at the last minute.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Keli. Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions!
