Hello! We are planning a 2013 trip. Can we book a trip now, and if the meal plan happens to be offered for free, during the times of our trip, can our trip be edited to add that free meal plan? I know the free dining isn't guaranteed. This is just an if :)

    Hi Lori,

Absolutely! You'll want to make your reservation as soon as possible, especially if you have your heart set on a specific room type and resort.

If a Free Dining package (or other special) is released that is valid for your dates of travel, simply call Disney and request that your reservation be modified to reflect the Special Offer. The number of rooms available for the Special Offers are limited, so you will want to call as soon as possible once you see one that you qualify for. I recommend that you keep an eye on these Special Offers, as they are updated quite frequently.

You'll want to keep in mind that if you were to book a room only reservation and wish to change it to a package reservation, the room only reservation will be cancelled and the funds returned to you as opposed to transferred over to the new reservation. If you have a package reserved and wish to add, for example, a free-dining promo, you will be able to change the reservation quite easily.

Currently, changes can be made up to 45 days prior to arrival without a fee.

Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that a Free Dining promotion comes out for your dates,
