I am planning a trip for August 2013 for me, DH, my mom and my 2 kids (will be 5.5 and 8 mos). We previously have stayed at the BC and loved it, but are thinking of staying in the MK area. Would you recommend a regular room or a 1BR villa and where? Thx

    Hi Kelly,

I think your family will love staying in the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World.  That's where I most like to stay.  If your youngest is content to sleep in a Pack 'N Play, then a standard room is all you need.  The standard rooms at Disney's Polynesian Resort are incredibly spacious.  This resort is just a quick boat or monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom and the views of the fireworks above Cinderella Castle from the beach at this resort are simply spectacular.

However, my very favorite resort in the entire world is Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  They offer one-bedroom villas that offer guests a full kitchen and private laundry facilities in addition to two separate sleeping areas.  These are incredible perks for families traveling with small children. If you have the money to cover the cost of one of these rooms, that's the choice I would make.  Again, you are just a short boat or bus ride from the front gates of the Magic Kingdom and the theming at this resort is unparalleled, in my opinion.

Let me know if you'd like any more information about either one of these resorts.  I love them both!

Best wishes and thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel.
