Character Dining with Donald Duck

We are planning a trip in August of 2018 with my 5 children. We will be staying off property. Are dining plans still an option? If not what should we expect to budget if we wanted to add in a character dining experience? Also, are there menus online?

    Hi Tammy,

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question! I'm also a mom to five children, and in my experience, the Walt Disney World Resort is the BEST place to take a large family for vacation. There is plenty to do that everyone will love, and despite any age ranges and differences in interests, there is so much you'll be able to enjoy together!

While Disney Dining Plans are only available for Disney Resort hotel guests, you'll be happy to know that yes, menus for Character dining are all available online. Just click the name of the restaurant and then over on the right-hand side, you'll see a link that says "View Menu." If you're anything like me, you'll love being able to check out all of your delicious (and fun!) options and plan the dining experience that's best for your family!

As far as budget goes, you'll find that most Character dining meals are between $35 - $59.99 per adult (ages 10 and up) and $15 - $34.99 per child (ages 3 - 9). Alcoholic or specialty beverages, taxes, and gratuities may be additional. Because the cost is subject to change and can even vary based on the time of year, I recommend you call (407) 939-1947 to check on specific pricing details.

I'm so excited for your whole family to get to experience the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  If you have any other questions, Tammy, I'd be happy to help!
