Planning a trip for April 2013 for DS birthday. Grandparents on board but only for 3-4 days of our 7 day trip. Suggestions of what to do for hotels please. 6 Adults, 3 children going down to 3A and 3C. Thank you.

    Hi Karen!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

With a large number of guests in your party, you will need to consider a Disney Deluxe Villa or getting multiple rooms.  There are accommodations to meet various needs and budgets at Walt Disney World:
    • Disney Deluxe Villas
    • Disney Deluxe Resorts
    • Disney Moderate Resorts
    • Disney Value Resorts

My favorite Disney Deluxe Villa is the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, followed closely by the Beach Club Villas.  The Villas at Wilderness Lodge provide you with easy access to the Magic Kingdom via a boat that runs between the lodge and the park.  The Beach Club Villas provide easy access to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

My favorite Disney Deluxe Resort is the Wilderness Lodge and my favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  My favorite Disney Value Resort is Pop Century.  You can request adjoining rooms and even connecting rooms.  You should definitely price out getting multiple rooms to getting a large Deluxe Villa.  Another option is getting a Villa for the larger party and a standard room for the smaller party; all Disney Deluxe Villas are close to building with standard rooms except for some of the villas at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which are located a long walk or a short bus ride away.

With a large group, you might also want to consider renting a vacation home near Walt Disney World.  My family has had good luck with the independent company AllStarVacationHomes.com.  Some of their homes are very close to Walt Disney World.

Our responses are limited in length, but I hope this helps.  Please write back with more questions!
