I am planning on traveling with my husband and son to Disney in January 2011. I have heard conflicting information about how far in advance I can book my room, etc. Some say 6 months and other things I have read say 499 days? Can you please clarify?

    Courtney:

    Thanks for the question!

One window of time refers to room reservations and one refers to dining reservations.

You can indeed book your room at Disney World up to 499 days out, and you can begin making dining reservations at 190 days out from the first day of your vacation if you are staying on property. Anyone can make dining reservations at 180 days (roughly 6 months) out from the date of their request regardless of whether they are staying on property or not.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
