We are planning to travel to DisneyWorld September 3-10. Can you tell me if this is typically a crowded time of year to visit? We have a 2 year old who isn't very patient waiting in lines. Thank you

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Rita!

Love to see that you're planning ahead because September will be here before you know it!

While I don't have a crystal ball and don't know for sure, I think you've picked a good time to travel. Guests planning a long weekend for Labor Day should be moving out so the crowds should be smaller. Keep in mind the Magic Kingdom will close at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6th & 7th for Night Of Joy.

I've been traveling with my boys to Disney since they were born and keeping little ones entertained in line can be a challenge, but it can be done. Here are some suggestions:

Bring along some favorite small toys. I wouldn't bring anything irreplaceable though. You may want to put it on a clip if possible.

A new toy is always novel and often holds a child's attention. A new Disney souvenEAR may do the trick. I got my boys a light up spinner. The spinning part was enclosed in plastic & it had a key chain attachment so I could put it on their belt loop & didn't have to worry about them dropping it. This was great for the lines and for the nighttime.

Bubbles are fun for everyone & you may make some new friends. Just be courteous of other guests.

Play games like peek-a-boo or I-Spy.

Stickers are always fun and Cast Members often hand out some cool Disney ones.

Bring snacks in a non-spill container and a sippy cup. I've found that kids that are well fed and hydrated are less irritable and do better in line. I try to keep it healthy but sometimes a Mickey lollypop helps.

Try to stick to naptimes. If kids are well rested and not worn out, they do better in lines.

Take stroller breaks. Your 2 year old will need time to just be free to roam and stretch his/her legs.

Please feel free to visit with any other questions. We're hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
