We are planning to travel o Disney Thanksgiving week Sunday-Thursday. I have been but it was a long time ago. My kids or husband have not. I'm worried 4 days will not be enough time. Help? Kids are 5 and 8.

    Hi, Alexis!

Welcome back to Walt Disney World!  I am sure you are excited to have your family enjoy the magic for their first time.   I will be totally honest with you:  You will not get to do everything!  Even if you doubled your vacation time, there is simply SO much to do!    Here is the itinerary I would follow:

Sunday:  Arrival day.  Enjoy your resort, do some shopping in Downtown Disney, then see if you can get a dining reservation at Chef Mickey's or Whispering Canyon.  After, head to the Polynesian to enjoy Wishes! Fireworks from the beach.

Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday:  Pick one park for each day, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.   Start your days early when crowds will be at their smallest.  Ahead of time, do some research and choose 3 - 4 "must do" attractions for each park. Do these first!  Any bonus time you can fill in with attractions with short lines or get FastPasses.

Thursday:  If time allows before leaving WDW, head to Animal Kingdom.  Again, the early bird gets the worm, so rise and shine early!

A MUST for your vacation will be to make your dining reservations ahead of time.  It will be a crowded week, so planning ahead with a few nice table service meals will be a nice break.  I suggest late lunches or dinners.  Use your mornings for valuable park time, not for leisurely breakfasts.

Start an itinerary, and let me know if you need help.  Wishing you a magical vacation!
