Planning on taking my 2 1/2 old niece to WDW.She loves anything Disney. My husband and I have will have a 10 month old at that time.I know that is young- but is it too young? We live within driving distance and there will be 5 adults with us to help out.

    Hi Krisdee!

Its great to hear from a fellow South Carolinian! Thanks for stopping by to ask the Moms Panel a question!

Personally, I don't think 10 months is too young to bring your child to Walt Disney World, in fact that's how old my son was the first time he went! Young kids can enjoy the parks as well as their older siblings or cousins, as long as everyone realizes that they'll need to have naps, frequent naps, and of course pretty frequent meals! They'll even be able to enjoy most rides by riding with you or next to you. Of course, the roller coasters and thrill rides will have to wait, but that's just a great excuse to come back and visit again!

The best touring plans with young children mean planning around their needs and not trying to "do it all"! Instead, try picking a few things you'd like to do each day and then tackle those while the day is young and everyone is full of energy. Then, take the rest of the day as a bonus and enjoy what you can, at a pace you all enjoy!

Oh, and one note - while the characters are cute and cuddly to us, to little ones (even outgoing little ones) they are often huge and frightening. Take it slow with the characters as well!

Hope this helps! Have a great trip!
