We are planning on taking our 9, 3, and 4-month old infant to one of the water parks. My concern is if the water park is a good place to take the baby. Also, what things should I plan on bringing for the older kids as well the baby?

    Hi Anandita!

I wouldn’t hesitate bringing an infant to the water parks.  There are plenty of shaded areas for the baby to take a nap or for feedings.  I’m assuming the little one won’t be sitting up at this point, but this doesn’t mean he/she can’t sit in the water with you and splash.  Just be careful with the sun and make sure your little swimmer is covered head to toe with baby safe sunscreen and his/her head is covered with a hat.  You will need a swim diaper for the baby as well, but if you forget, they are for sale in the gift shop.  When my son was a baby, we would put him in a kiddie float in the lazy rivers and he would fall asleep.

Packing for the water parks is simple.  I pretty much have a beach bag ready to go in my closet.  I make sure I have sunscreen for the whole family, swim diapers, we bring our own towels, an extra bag for wet clothes, a change of dry clothes, water-proof camera, our tickets and money for snacks and lunch.  You can bring your own snacks and drinks as well, so pack whatever you might need for the baby.  We wear our swim suits into the parks so we don’t waste time changing in the beginning.

    Have a fantastic time!
