I am planning on taking my mom with us for next year thanksgiving weekend. If I buy her tickets from now can it still be used for our thanksgiving vacation?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elizabeth!

I hope you are excited to begin planning a magical, multi-generational vacation to Walt Disney World® Resort. Now is the perfect time to begin planning for next Thanksgiving, and theme park tickets is a great place to start.

Theme parks tickets purchased now must be redeemed by December 31st, 2018 - so you're all set to have valid theme park admission for next Thanksgiving if you are hoping to gift your mom her ticket for Christmas. Here are a few additional tips to help make your planning process positively pixie-dusted.

    • Create a profile for your mom under your Friends and Family list in your My Disney Experience Account. If you purchase her ticket online from the Walt Disney World® Resort website, you'll be able to "link" the ticket to your mom's profile.

    • Having her ticket linked will allow you to manage her account and make FastPass+ selections for your entire party when your booking window opens.

I hope this information is helpful, Elizabeth! My family just celebrated a fantastic vacation over Thanksgiving Weekend, so if you have any additional questions, or would like some fun suggestions of things to do to make your holiday magical, please let me know, I'll be available until December 31st and would love to help you plan.

    Happy Holidays!
