I am planning on taking my family of 4 to all the parks in WDW the second week in October. Is this time of year normally crowded? Are the weather conditions still favorable for that time of year?

Hi, Jaime!  The weather in the second week of October should be wonderful!  You might find the summer humidity finally starting to decrease, and the evenings get cooler.  The days are still warm and pleasant for the most part, although you might find a hot day now and again.

As for crowds, there are a few schools that have the Columbus day holiday off, so that might make that weekend a bit more crowded.  Walt Disney World is also offering free dining at that time, and I am guessing that you'll see more people there as a result.  In addition, EPCOT hosts the International Food and Wine Festival, and the Magic Kingdom has Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party going on during the month of October on select nights.  You'll find both of those events bring people to the parks.

But, when compared to the peak summer months or the busy holiday seasons, the crowds are pretty manageable in October.  Use Fast Pass where you can, and it should really help minimize your wait time.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
