I am planning our summer vacation and for the third consective year, with my now 7 year old daughter. We have stayed at the Pop and at the Caribbean. This year I am debating between the Princess rooms at Port Orleans or a Mermaid room at the new AoA.

Joanne, once you visit the mouse you simply have to return year after year don't you?

Good news-either of your resort choices will be fabulous. There is no wrong decision!

At Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside the beautifully landscaped grounds lined with live oaks and magnolias and Southern architectural charm will sometimes make you forget you are only minutes away from the world's most popular theme park. Plus the Royal Guest Rooms offer headboards with illuminating fireworks! This moderate resort offers multiple recreation choices from rides in a horse drawn carriage to the pool with a water slide on Ol' Man Island.

At the shiny new, bright, and whimsical Disney's Art of Animation Resort, bold theming throughout makes every inch of this resort a delight. An over three-story tall Ursula, the Big Blue Pool, and room details such as shell chairs and a shower wall mural create a lively Disney atmosphere. This value resort offer great bang for your buck.

Consider asking your daughter if she would prefer Disney princesses or the Little Mermaid as her room companions if you need a tie breaker. Just remember you can't make a wrong choice!
