While planning for summer '08, my DH and I decided it is too hard to decide on one resort. We are considering splitting stay between Coronado and Contemporary. CR says it's common, but what are your thoughts on "resort hopping"?

    Julie,

We've resort hopped a lot of times and we've never regretted it.  It's a lot of fun!  The resorts at Disney are extensively themed, and each has something unique to offer.  We like to see them all!

My first suggestion for you would be to book your stay at Coronado Springs first, and then move from there over to the Contemporary.  Coronado is a beautiful resort with a lot to offer, but it might feel like a letdown after leaving the monorail with a castle view!

When it comes time to switch resorts, let Disney do the work for you.  If you contact bell services the night before, they will make arrangements for your luggage to to be moved to the Contemporary for you.  You'll be able to enjoy a full day playing in the park, and your luggage will await you in the new room when you return.  We love that perk!

I'd also take into consideration how long you are staying.  If you'll be there for a week then hopping should be no problem.  If you will only be there for a few days you might feel it's a hassle to pack up and move.  I've not felt that way personally, but I know some people do so only you can make that decision.

I think you will really enjoy both resorts, so I say go for it and have a great time!
