Planning on staying at POP Century in June. Can you tell me which building is closest to bus stops and food court? Looking for closest convenience for special needs son. Also would you recommend a ground floor room or higher? What are the pros/cons of each

Hi Susan!  I love the Pop Century resort and it has always been one of my favorite Value spots at Walt Disney World.  My favorite building for convenience has been the 70's building, wing B.  It is close to the buses as well as the main welcome building where you will find the shop and food court.  When you make your reservation have them note on it that you are requesting a room and building close to the food courts and bus stops due to your special needs son. About a week ahead confirm that request with a note faxed to the resort. They will do everything they can to meet your needs and help make it a magical stay.

As far as bottom floor or upper level it is a toss up to me. I have stayed in both and guess that I liked the lower level the best. It was the most convenient to just open your door and walk out on the paths to the food courts and buses. Upper levels can tend to be quieter but you have stairs to deal with or elevators to wait on and after a day in the parks I just don't feel like more exercise!  My vote would go for the lower level rooms.
