Planning on staying at the Disney All-Star Movie resort in 1 room with 3 adults, a 6yr old and an infant. Concerned about infant going to bed early and 6 yr old needing something to do until bedtime without waking infant. Is there activities around hotel?

    Hello Lauren,

I can totally relate to your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, as I have 3 children who are each 3 years apart. So, when we had an infant, the other was at least 3-6 years older with differing bedtimes.

I am happy to offer you some suggestions to keep your 6 year old entertained while getting the tuckered out infant to sleep in a quiet room. First, there are typically activities by the pool area throughout the day. They do end in the evenings, but times can vary, so check with the guest services when you check-in for a day by day schedule of events. Next, there are nightly "Movies Under the Stars" by the pool area. I have enjoyed several Disney movies with my older kids while the baby was going to sleep. Keep in mind that these are subject to change due to inclement weather. Again, the front desk should have a schedule of these movies when you arrive. There is also a playground area between the Fantasia and Toy Story sections of the resort. This is a great way for he/she to run off some evening steam before bedtime. Lastly, something that is not an official activity, but one thing we like to do as a family, is play eye-spy around the resorts. With the larger than life statues and colorfully designed architecture, you could play for hours as you stroll around the resort in the evening. You could even stop by the World Premiere Food Court and surprise your little one with a special Mickey Bar or late night snack to enjoy as you walk around spying all things Disney.

I wish your family the most magical time together making unforgettable memories.
