Hi Marissa,
I was a Disney bride almost a decade ago, and we had over 70 people come to celebrate with us, so I can understand how difficult it can be to design a vacation that works for everyone.
The best starting point would be to determine where you would like to stay. Although there are definitely distinct advantages to staying in a
Deluxe Resort Hotel, my recommendation would be to look into some of the
Moderate Resort Hotels, such as Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter (my favourite). Another great option, especially if your family plans to purchase groceries and other items to keep food costs down would be to look into a Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Don’t forget that standard rooms at the
Value Resort Hotels can also be a good option, though those rooms can be a smidge small if you’re planning to have 4 adults in a room.
Once you have your accommodations sorted out, you can choose to add on a Disney Dining Plan (if you aren't big eaters, it may not be right for you) and pick how many days you’d like to visit the Theme Parks. Don’t forget that there is a GREAT
Canadian Resident Special Offer for Theme Park Tickets right now.
I can give you a zillion more tips and tricks for making your family vacation, Marissa, including Disney dining recommendations (which can be made up to 180 days prior to your arrival) and FastPass+ selections (which can be made up to 60 days beforehand). Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
