Hi, we are planning a split stay (1 week on site 2nd week off site) will we still be able to use our magic bands once we have checked out of the disney hotel?

    Hello, Kayleigh!

Disney's MagicBands make traveling across the Walt Disney World Resort super convenient -- and colorful! All of your vacation entitlements can be linked to your MagicBand, and with a few exceptions, you should be able to use your MagicBand even when you switch to an off-site resort.

    MagicBands can be used to:
    • Enter theme parks and water parks (with valid admission)
    • Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account
    • Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room
    • Check in at FastPass+ attraction entrances
    • Unlock the door to your Disney Resort hotel room
After you check out of your Disney Resort hotel, you will not be able to charge purchases to your MagicBand. You can still use your MagicBand for park admission, FastPass+ attractions, and connecting PhotoPass images to your account.

I hope you have a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation, Kayleigh! Please don't hesitate to stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions. Happy planning!
