Christmas at resorts

I was planning a solo trip for Dec 2019, but now my sister may want to join me. Am I better to book a MYW package as a single, and changing it to double occupancy if she confirms, or the opposite? How easy is it to add/remove a guest from the packages?

    Hi, there!

Sarah, I'm so happy to hear you're planning another Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Now more than ever is the time to visit!

I just love the convenience of booking a Disney Resort Hotel Package. I can customize a unique package for each and every stay by adding a Disney Resort hotel, tickets, and even a dining plan. And the fact that I can do it all online with My Disney Experience? So awesome.

Your solo trip sounds super fun, but a sister trip sounds great too! It's quite easy to add someone to or remove someone from your Resort hotel reservation. As long as you make the modification at least 30-days prior to your arrival date, you should have no problem! That said, I think it would be better to include your sister in your initial booking for the sake of your dining reservations and FastPass+ selections. It will be much easier to remove her from those plans than it will be to add her after you've made them.

Your December vacation is the perfect time to celebrate the holiday season. Be sure to catch a performance of the Candlelight Processional at the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. It's my very favorite Christmas offering at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I hope this was helpful, Sarah. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
