I am planning a short trip to WDW with my BFF. We are planning one day at Epcot, but do we need to purchase park tickets for at least two days to be eligible to purchase a DDP? If so, do after hour event park tickets count?

    Hi Rachel!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're so glad that you found us hEAR, and thank you for asking this great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us!

Oh I so much love everything about your short-but-sweet visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I am happy to say that as long as you have at least a one-night stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can add a Disney Dining Plan to your trip! You might even be able to take advantage of a great Special Offer, Deal or Discounted package! Usually dining plans have to be added on at the time of your Disney Resort Hotel reservation and when you purchase your Disney Theme Park tickets, but if you already have a hotel reservation, it still might be possible to add a plan. Call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation number at (407) 939-1936 and they'll be more than happy to help walk you through your options.

Do remember that the number of meals and snacks allotted per room are based on the number of nights you'll be staying at the Disney Resort Hotel X the number of people in that room, so if you both opt for the classic Disney Dining Plan, and you're staying two nights, that's 4 quick-service meals, 4 table-service meals and 8 snacks total. And don't forget that as a guest of a Disney Resort Hotel, you'll be eligible for all sorts of great included perks, like Extra Magic Hours, a complimentary MagicBand, and also round-trip transportation from and back to the Orlando International Airport via Disney's Magical Express!

Pro Tip: Disney Dining Plans can only be purchased by guests who are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. If you already have a room booked elsewhere, check and see if your hotel has Disney Dining Cards, which are kind of like gift cards sold with slightly more value loaded on to them than what you end up paying!

I hope this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Rachel, and We'll See You Real Soon!
