We are planning a reunion type vacation at Walt Disney World :) Is there a resort that would allow the adults to socialize after the children are sleeping? We would all need/want separate suites for each family. THANKS! :D

    Julia:

One of the best group vacations I took to Disney was a family reunion at the Fort Wilderness cabins. We squeezed 19 of us into 3 cabins.

Although Disney doesn't guarantee proximity of rooms, we have found that the folks at the fort go out of their way to keep groups together whether you're staying in a cabin or campsite. Our cabins were all clustered near each other. If you're looking for some "adult time," keep in mind that every cabin has a deck as well as a living area inside along with separate bedroom so you can put the kids to bed and enjoy each other's company in the kitchen/living area or go outside if the weather is pleasant. Best of all, there is a television in the bedroom as well as the living area in case you need it for the kids.

I think you'll find that the cabins' outdoor space is like having an additional room, and allows you a respite from the parks. It's also typically cheaper than a suite or villa.

Wishing y'all a memorable reunion and a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
