Planning return trip December 14-21. Will crowd levels be too extreme for this week. Trying to avoid taking the kids out of school too early?

    Hi Brandi!
Thanks for your question and Happy New Year!
Boy oh boy, you have the $64,000 question right there! In past years, this would have been one of the easiest questions to answer, as the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas USED to be the "sweet spot" for visiting Walt Disney World in all of its holiday splendor WITHOUT the crowds. However, as time has passed and the resort property has grown in both size/scope AND popularity of offerings, there really is no more of these absolutely "slow" periods. The good news is that compared to Thanksgiving time and Christmas week, you are picking probably the best time to go, in my opinion. The Thanksgiving crowds will be gone and the Christmas crowds will only be beginning to build towards the end of your scheduled trip. Plus, with Disney's FastPass+  service, you can book your favorite attractions up to 60 days in advance. I was just at Walt Disney World Resort for the holidays during the week before Christmas of 2018 and found the crowds very manageable. Therefore, I would go for it!
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical holiday trip!!
