Planning a quick visit in July to celebrate a 2nd birthday. One day at MK and staying at Cont. We have 2 options for our non park day--bfast at chef mickey's at 7.30 then DTD or hang out at pool/lunch at Mickeys. Is DTD worth a visit w/ a 2 yo? Thanks!

    Hello Tracylnn,

I love a quick visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.  Sometimes it's just the break you need from work, school or home.  Great choice to stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort because you're just a short monorail or walk away from the Magic Kingdom.  Since you're coming in July, my choice would be to hang out at the pool on your non-park day and stay cool during the hottest part of the summer.   I think your two year old would enjoy that so much more than sitting in a stroller and being pushed around Downtown Disney.  I love Downtown Disney, especially now as they are in the process of transforming it into Disney Springs, but given a choice, between there and a pool, I'll pick lounging around the pool any day.

The Moms Panel would like to send out a very Happy Birthday to your precious two year old.  If you'd like some additional tips for making the day special, my fellow Moms and Dads on the panel have provided some excellent suggestions

    Have a magical trip!
