Hi, I am planning a quick trip to Disney the week of Christmas 2017. We only have one day so we only going to Disneyland. What are some must dos for our group? We will have 8 children with us 13,11,11,10,8,3,2,1. This is the first time for all of them

    Greetings Melissa!
A day trip to Disneyland with eight kids who've never visited the Happiest Place on Earth sounds like Magical fun!
The most important piece of advice I can offer is that you plan ahead!
That way, you can have an incredible experience with minimal wait times for the attractions, restaurants and even catch some great parade seats! Here's what I recommend:
    * Before arriving at Disneyland, make sure all Park tickets are linked to your Disneyland Mobile App.
In order to do that, you must download the Disneyland Mobile App, then scan each ticket with your phone camera.
    * I would definitely recommend that you purchase MaxPass, a service offered for an additional $10 per ticketed guest, that allows you to reserve FASTPASSES for popular attractions, directly from the Disneyland Mobile App.
You can purchase MaxPass before arriving and activate the feature once you're inside the Parks.
If you're able to start your day early, I would suggest you stop by City Hall, located right at the entrance on Main Street, U.S.A and pick up "First Time Visit" buttons. They make super fun keepsakes!
I would also take advantage of an early morning arrival to take pictures in front of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. I say this because that's usually when kids are fresh, excited and ready to smile. Many people rush to the rides early in the morning, leaving the photos for later when the kids are tired, sleepy and grumpy.
Make sure you check the hours of Mickey's Toontown so you can be among the first guests to visit Mickey's House and meet Mickey!
    I hope this helps.
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
    Have a Magical vacation,
