We are planning on purchasing annual passes. Wondering, are the passes effective from the date of purchase or the date of first use?

    Greetings, Leslie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited you are thinking about becoming Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders. Nothing sounds better than preparing for an entire year of magic at the Happiest Place on Earth.

I'm delighted to inform you that after you purchase your Annual Passport, it will not become activated until your first visit to the parks as an Annual Passholder. From that day you will have 365 days to use your Passport. Get ready for some exciting perks like discounts on dining and shopping as well as "AP"-exclusive merchandise and events. Depending on which Annual Passport works best for you, some even include parking or the added benefit of included or discounted Disney MaxPass. This amazing feature allows you to make digital Disney FASTPASS selections from your mobile device when you enter the parks as well as downloads of your Disney PhotoPass pictures. It will definitely help you get the most out of your Annual Passport. If you don't have it already, make sure you download the official Disneyland App to utilize these great features. From the app you can also get your AP discount on Mobile Orders at select Quick Service Restaurants at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

I can't wait for you to make a yEAR of magical memories!
