We are planning on purchasing annual passes. My husband may not be able to use his for a few months though. When do they need to have their initial use by to remain active?

Hi, Sarah! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. I am so excited that you are considering purchasing Annual Passports! The thought of having the freedom to visit the Disneyland Resort year-round makes me positively giddy!

I spoke to a Cast Member and confirmed that when you purchase your Annual Passport, you generally have up to one year to activate it the first time. Be sure to check the terms and conditions when you make your purchase just to be sure. So feel free to buy your Annual Passport now and worry not if you won't be visiting the Disneyland Resort immediately. Then, your Annual Passport will expire one year from the date of first use.

As you are probably aware, there are a few different types of Annual Passports available. When making your choice, you might want to consider whether or not you would like the new Disney MaxPass service included with your pass. MaxPass allows you to select FASTPASSES for attractions through the Disneyland app once you are inside the parks. MaxPass is only included if you purchase the Disney Signature Plus or Premier Passports. Otherwise, you will pay an additional fee per person, per day to use this service. MaxPass can really streamline the way you tour the parks so it's definitely an important piece to consider.

I hope this helps. See ya real soon!
