Planning post-Wine and Dine cruise in 2015. Doing concierge, wondering pros and cons between a 4-day on the Dream (we've sailed 3 times on the Dream) and trying out the 4-day on the Magic. May have a large group, will have 5-year old son (loves kids club).

Welcome aboard, Amy! What a way to unwind and pamper yourself after running 13.1 miles through the Walt Disney World Resort next fall! I love that you want to set sail after completing the Wine and Dine Half Marathon! It's a great time to sail too. My family has sailed in early November over the past couple of years and it's been great weather, easy travels and a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!

If you've already sailed three times on the Disney Dream, you should absolutely try the Disney Magic this time. The Magic has become my favorite of all four Disney Cruise Line ships, ever since its spectacular re-imagination last fall. Your son will adore the Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Club on the Magic. My son is six, and when he sailed on the newly designed Magic a few months ago, he agreed it's his favorite club now. He especially enjoyed Marvel's Avengers Academy. A few times throughout the cruise, he popped into the club to "Become Iron Man", where he virtually was fitted with Iron Man's suit and got to move around, seeing himself on the screen. He loved this activity! Now, that's not the only new part of the Club. We all enjoyed Andy's Room and the Slinky Dog slide that led from Andy's bed down to the rest of his toys. And over in the Lab, it's all pirate themed! Another favorite of my son! Plus, we like the new secret tunnel that leads between the Club and Lab. I'm telling you, the clubs' redesigns are spectacular!

Besides that, since you have a large group, hopefully the adults will be able to sneak away for some time in After Hours, the adults only nighttime spaces on the Magic. I loved hanging out with friends playing board games and listening to music in O'Gills Pub, catching a great variety act in Fathoms, and quieting down with a low key evening chatting and sipping a cocktail in Keys.

If you choose to try a cruise on the Magic instead of re-visiting the Dream, I promise you will not be disappointed, Amy! Have fun planning!
