We are planning to be in the parks during the busy post-Thanksgiving days (Fri-Mon). Is there any strategy as to which parks would be smart to visit on which day? We do have park hoppers, but we are a big group with 2 individuals who have special needs.

    Hi Rachel,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can hear the sound of packing now! How excited everyone must be for your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

When planning our vacations, I have often used various (free) online crowd calendars like the one at Undercover Tourist. Since Magic Kingdom and Epcot have special holiday events that are quite popular, any day that you visit will probably be a busy day for those parks. You might try starting at Disney's Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios theme parks. Depending on the special needs of guests in your party, Disney's Animal Kingdom might be the best starting place. My husband, at times, uses an electric conveyance vehicle (ECV). Disney's Animal Kingdom is spacious and he normally has very little trouble navigating the crowds there with his ECV.

I would do Magic Kingdom on Monday as long as you are not planning to depart early on Monday. Also, check the park hours to determine which parks have extra magic hours on which days. Having said all of this, I know that my family now loves to do Magic Kingdom on the first day we arrive, no matter what day of the week it is. We just deal with the crowds!

Rachel, I do hope you made dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections for your group. In addition, review the Services for Guests with Disabilities Guide. The printable guide maps located on that page are helpful!

Magic memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
