Hi, Ashlyn!
I’m glad to hear that you’re planning to see World of Color during your
Disneyland Resort visit! It’s a visually stunning, one-of-a-kind nighttime water spectacular that can’t be missed.
I think the
World of Color Picnic Meals are a great option to guarantee you and your group a spot for the show. My family has ordered them a couple times and we’ve enjoyed trying the different selections. The commemorative tote bag that comes with every four meals is a great souvenir!
The World of Color Viewing Area (which is different from the Disney Dining Reserved Viewing Sections offered with the restaurant dining packages) is the part of Paradise Pier for which you’ll receive a ticket to watch the show. This is the same viewing area available to those Guests who obtain FASTPASSes at the distribution kiosks, so although you're guaranteed to receive a viewing spot, it is first come, first served and you’ll want to arrive early. You can usually line up to enter your designated viewing location up to an hour and a half prior to the show, so be sure to get there at the earliest return time listed on your ticket, or shortly before. The best spots are at the front of the section against a railing, or on the top level of one of the steps. Keep in mind that viewing areas for the show are standing-room only, so if anyone in your group has endurance or mobility issues, speak to a Cast Member in advance.
I hope this helps, Ashlyn, and you enjoy World of Color! Please write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
