We are planning one park per day with the Base your Way tickets. What would be the best parks to visit, (we're there for 3 days). Also, how do we plan our day, i.e. where to eat, what to do first, last, etc...please help, Two adults a 2 and 6 year old

    Jessica:

I love all the parks--and can find things in all parks for every age, however, with a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old, I'd say visit Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Studios. They offer more over Epcot, I feel, for the ages of your children.

As you plan your day, don't go against your body rhythms. If your family gets up early back home, get up early. (Going early to the parks REALLY gives you a leg up over the crowds--don't know many kids that like to stand in line!) If the kids usually take a nap, head back to the room in the afternoons. Resist the urge "take it all in" on this trip--WDW is the size of San Francisco, and you can't possibly do it all. Pace yourself--and you'll do yourself, and your children, a favor (which is like doing yourself a favor all over again)!

Animal Kingdom closes early, so I'd go to it on the second day, and catch your breath. Disney Studios doesn't usually stay open as late as Magic Kingdom, so you might want to go there on your first day, saving MK for last. There will be plenty of age-appropriate characters like the Muppets, Beauty and the Beast, along with the Playhouse Disney crew to get them exited on the first day.

    Dining Recommendations:
Disney Studios: Backlot Express for their more healthful kid's meals that offer carrots and grapes.
Animal Kingdom: If your children like chicken or ribs, Flame Tree BBQ. You can also dine outside.
Magic Kingdom: Splurge on a Character Meal with Pooh and Friends at Crystal Palace.

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
