I was planning on 3/2014, which would make my oldest 5 1/2 and my youngest would be 2 yrs 4 mths. Do you think I should wait until the youngest is 3? What will the 2 yo be able to do? Are there rides/activities in the parks both kids can do?

    Hi Stacey!

I'm so happy to hear that you're already planning ahead for your family's Walt Disney World vacation. I can confidently tell you, and I know that all my friends on the Moms Panel will agree, that no age is really ever 'too young' for Walt Disney World!

The experience is different at each age ... and when they're littlest, you get to enjoy watching their reactions to experiences just as much as they're enjoying it all themselves! My own daughter's first visit was at 23 months. My son's - 8 months! Even HE had a fantastic time soaking in the sights and even enjoying attractions and rides with us. I'll never forget his reactions to the Spectromagic Parade. I spent more time watching his eyes light up while he bounced up and down than I did watching the parade myself! Walt Disney World is truly a sensory experience for all ages.

For the best idea of just how many attractions you can enjoy together, take a visit to the Attractions at Walt Disney World Resort page which I've linked for you. Along the left hand side of the page, you can search by individual park, or all parks at once, by recommended age and height to see the full listing of attractions that will be suitable for both your kids' ages.

You'll find that there are actually more attractions that your youngest WILL be able to enjoy, than those that he or she cannot! You can also click the 'Height' selector on the left side and then choose 'Any Height' for a full listing of attractions with no restrictions.

I think you will be very pleasantly surprised by just how much you will ALL be able to enjoy together during your Walt Disney World vacation!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question Stacey.
Please feel free to write me back any time if I can provide you with additional assistance during your planning. I'd love to hear from you!
