Planning on oct in WDW 2012. We hav e a 6 yr old daughter and a 8 yr old son. very active. Also coming with grandparents. What do you recommend for kid friendly hotels with children who love water but cant swim very well yet?

    Hi Dan!

This is a great question. I think the two best Disney Resorts with regards to a pool for guests of any age are the Beach Club and the Yacht Club. That is because they share Stormalong Bay, which is almost mini-water park. The last time we stayed at the Beach Club, my youngest son who was 5 at the time did not want to ever leave the pool. There is literally a sand island in the "kiddie pool" that kids can make sand castles on!

After those two resorts, I would recommend the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It has a very nice pool and there is a water play area at nearby Kidani Village that you are allowed to visit.

For a Disney Moderate Resort with a cool pool for children, I suggest the Caribbean Resort then Port Orleans Riveside.

Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
