I am planning to obtain a Disability Access Service card for my daughter and I hear they must take a photo of your child. This may not be possible....does she have to have her picture taken to get the card?

    Hi Alysen ~

As a mom of a son with several types of disabilities, I completely understand your concerns. The Cast Members at Guest Relations take the photos for the Disability Access Service Cards (DAS) with an iPad or an iPad mini so they can come around to Guests and take the photos quickly. Some Guests don't even realize that they are having their picture taken. Your daughter won't even have to pose for the picture. This really makes it easy for those Guests who don't quite understand or causes them stress to have their photos taken.

If Guests do not want their child's picture taken for the DAS or if it causes stress for a child, parents can opt to have their picture taken instead. Your daughter will still need to be present with you at Guest Relations when you request the DAS and her information will be shown on the card, however they can take your picture and put it on the card.

Keep in mind that your daughter will not need to be present when you take the DAS to a Cast Member at an attraction to get a return time but she must be present when entering the queue and when you board the attraction.

Please feel free to visit with any other questions. I'm hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
