We're planning our November trip to avoid the extra magic hours - For fewest people, is it better to go to the park the day before or after the extra hours? (ex: if extra hours at MK on Tuesday, is it better to go on Monday or Wednesday?)

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Chris! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

I love chatting with fellow planners like the band of Disney Nerds that make up the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are in good company!

Chris, crowd predictions can be tricky business, especially because there are always unknowns in the equation. Variables like international holidays, odd school breaks, special events, National holidays, and many other factors can come to play. But you are off to a great start looking at Extra Magic Hours that can, at times, cause crowds to increase since they bring in resort guests to those parks on those specific days. But there are some great tools out there that can help you with your planning!

Have you searched online for crowd calendars? My go-to is Undercover Tourist. They’re not 100% accurate but they follow trends and they’re a good gauge for what to expect and which park to plan on visiting on which dates.

Ultimately, any day at the Walt Disney World Resort is better than a day elsewhere. And with some smart planning, you can beat the crowds and have a magical time! Be sure to mark your planning calendar with all the important planning dates like your 30-day FastPass+ advance booking window, 60-day if staying on property, and your 180-day Advance Dining Reservation window for all the best and yummiest restaurants at the most magical place on earth!

Have fun dreaming up and planning your upcoming visit! Come back and see us again soon for any additional tips, advice, and questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    See you real soon,
