Little girl celebrating

We are planning 7 nights in FL. 5 nights in rental home and 2 nights at a Disney resort to celebrate 5 year olds bday. Are there any recommendations for which hotels may have the best birthday perks? Is that’s even a thing?

    Dear Linnea,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! What an exciting trip that you have coming up, to celebrate your child's birthday!

There are so many ways to make your child's experience extra magical for their birthday! Each Walt Disney World Resort hotel has many fun activities that could be a wonderful way to celebrate. There aren't specific birthday perks, exactly, but some great birthday "essentials" include being sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday!" pin at the hotel or in the parks. Cast Members and other guests will be wishing your child a happy birthday all day long! Your child will feel so special. A birthday Mickey ear hat is another favorite choice of mine!

In terms of other birthday ideas, the sky is the limit. You could consider an in-room delivery of a special birthday surprise from Disney Floral & Gifts, for example. You could also consider a special birthday meal, for example a character meal? If your child has a favorite character, that might be a great choice! Other special magic could include one of the Enchanting Extras Collection activities, to bring a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience to your family! Honestly though, even if you decide not to spring for any "extras," your child is certain to have the most special birthday ever!

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
