We are planning a 4 night getaway to disney world with our two boys, (4 yrs old & 16 mths). We need help... Where to stay, what attractions etc.... And I'm thinking to stay inside the park to make it easier? Thx:)

    Hi Sharon!

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation is fun and exciting! Each Walt Disney World Resort hotel offers something special, so you really can't go wrong. I would definitely recommend staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for the convenience factor alone. I have girls around the same ages as your boys, and having Disney's Magical Express (free transportation to your Disney Resort hotel) pick us up from the Orlando International Airport and take care of our luggage is such a stress reliever. No need to go to the baggage carousel. Your luggage will be delivered to your Disney hotel for you. Also included is transportation to all theme parks and around the Walt Disney World Resort area. Someone else can do the driving for a change!

The first thing I would do is choose your Disney Resort hotel. Disney offers different hotels for different budgets-from Value Resort hotels to Deluxe Villas. I honestly love hotels in each of the categories for different reasons. I love the Value Resort hotels for their giant icons that my kids love. It screams Disney! I also love some of the Deluxe Resort hotels for their proximity to the theme parks, allowing me to walk to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot with my parade of strollers. I would peruse Walt Disney World's website to get package prices and look at what themes would appeal to your family.

After you make your reservation, the planning can begin! Try making a simple touring plan of what theme parks you want to visit and on which day. Then you can start making FastPass+ selections and advance dining reservations. Character Dining or Quick-Service meals? You decide.

I wish I had more space to recommend our favorite attractions and restaurants! Start here, and if you have more questions, please feel free to write back and ask away! One of the reasons my young family returns to Walt Disney World year after year is because of the ease of travel with young children.

    Have a magical vacation!
