Planning 7 night on Fantasy 11/2013.. Which night is formal, etc.? How many change of clothes for a 5 yr old? I heard that there are so many passengers it is overcrowed and can't get near the pools, entertainment etc. Can you advise?>

Hi Mary, welcome aboard! Experiencing the Fantasy was so wonderful for our family, I have no doubt you will have a great experience onboard with your family as well.

Though schedules are always subject to change, you can most likely expect the following dress nights on your 7-night Fantasy cruise:

    Night 1: Cruise Casual
    Night 2: Formal Night
    Night 3: Cruise Casual
Night 4: Cruise Casual on the Western, or Pirate Night on the Eastern
Night 5: Pirate Night on the Western, or Cruise Casual on the Eastern
    Night 6: Semi-Formal
    Night 7: Cruise Casual

When I pack for my kids, I usually include a casual beachy-type outfit for each day, and a nicer outfit for evenings. And don't forget the swimsuits! I try to bring outfits that can be mixed or matched for daytime, so that they can wear a skirt or pants twice, just changing the tops. This saves space. Also, there are guest laundry facilities onboard. I usually do one load during the trip to ensure I can reuse some of the tops or bottoms.

Usually you won't find the ship is entirely full. Though,we sailed the Dream which is the same size as the Fantasy when it was a completely full ship. That was the only time I really even noticed the crowds at the pools, and to be honest, they weren't terrible. We like to hit the pools early in the morning and head back inside after lunch when they get more crowded. So, just don't go at the peak times around lunch and afternoon, and though you'll see a lot of folks, I don't think it will be too overwhelming for you. Another hint is to stay on the ship during a port day when everyone else is off exploring. Or hit the pools onboard first before you head off the ship for a bit. That's a great time to ride the AquaDuck with little to no wait as well.

Have a great cruise, Mary! I just know you're going to love the Dream! Let me know if I can answer any other questions as you continue to plan for your cruise!
