Planning a 5 night cruise on Wonder, and need help choosing between dlx oceanview staterms, either midship on deck 2 or fwd on deck 6. We've heard there can be a bit of unwanted noise on deck 2, but that forward on deck 6 may have a lot of motion. Help!

    Hi Michelle -

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel. Planning your Disney Cruise feels magical already... imagining your family members taking advantage of the many onboard activities that are offered. I'm glad that you are planning way in advance and have the options of a few stateroom choices available to you. My family and I have sailed on the classic Disney Wonder a couple of times, and I'm positive that you and your family will have a grand time!

My preference for stateroom choices has always been mid ship.  It makes it central to the primary activities that my kids enjoy the most - the Oceaneer Lab and Club.  I'm sure they won't get lost, but when we're on the cruise, they're always in a mad dash to get out of the stateroom and head straight to the Youth Clubs! They just can't wait to get in there and join in on the fun. So, going up or down from our stateroom mid ship, makes it easy. I have heard that motion tends to be felt more at either aft or forward of a cruise ship. I don't mind the motion, personally, but for some people it might be something to think about. There will be some motion, no doubt about it... but it seems like mid ship will have less of it. Being on Deck 2 mid ship would also put you closer to the main dining areas on Deck 3. You have the ease of taking the stairs, as opposed to waiting for an elevator, that could sometimes be crowded at dinner time. You are also close to the exit gangways, whenever you are getting off the ship when at the port.

I hope that this information helps! Do check in again if you need any additional information.

    Happy planning!
