We're planning our next vacation and are going to the MYW plus dining. Does this plan have to be for your entire trip? We wont get to Disney until late the first day and wanted to start our dining and park passes for the next day. Can we do this? Thanks!!

    Hi Megan,

I wish I could tell you your tickets could start the next day because you arrive so late. When you purchase a Walt Disney World Resort package, it is for the length of stay of your trip starting on the day you check-in through the end of the day you checkout.

With the Disney Dining plan, it is sometimes helpful to have the extra day you do not use. There are selective signature restaurants which use two dining credits and you can use the first day credits to make up the difference.

With the loss of the day at the parks, there is no way around this one unless there are Extra Magic Hours in the evening you want to take advantage of for the evening you arrive.

I know some guests stay at hotel outside the park or book a room only for one night at a Disney Resort. They then check-in to a second resort for the remainder of their stay. If you do the Disney Resort room only for one night, you can stay at the same resort or another resort. If you are at another resort, bell services will move your bags to the new resort. You can check-in early to the second resort though your room may not be ready until later in the day. This option still allows you to use Disney's Magical Express to and from the airport.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
