We are planning our next trip to Walt Disney World in May 2016. Other than the fast pass system is there anything else in place for children with Autism to get them through the lines faster?

    Welcome, Patrick!

In addition to FastPass+, there is another service available to assist Guests who are unable to wait in a regular queue. The
Disability Access Service (DAS) provides a virtual wait time allowing Guests to wait in a quiet area, experience another attraction or do a little shopping. When it is time to return, Guests will have a limited wait time before experiencing the attraction.

You can request DAS by visiting any theme park Guest Relations. Just let the Cast Member know your family's needs so that they can offer advice based on your family's situation. If DAS is assigned, some basic information is collected such as name, party size, length of stay as well as the recipient will have a photo taken. The DAS is good for the length of your visit and valid at all four theme parks.

Many families find this resource from Disney Parks helpful when planning their visit: A Resource for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). There are 23 pages of information about planning, transportation, accessibility and sensory information for attractions at the four theme parks.

Utilizing both DAS and FastPass+ systems helps my family maximize our park day. Take a look at this answer about how my family uses both systems to help our son experience the magic.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!
